    Mrs. Ida E. Pitcher, 77, of Savage Rd., Sardinia, who took over her husband's post as Sardinia town clerk after he died in 1935, died Wednesday (Dec. 13, 1972) in Wyoming County Community Hospital, Warsaw, after a long illness. She held the clerk's post until 1941. She also operated her husband's 40-head dairy farm from 1935 until 1939, when she remarried. Her second husband, Morris A. Pitcher, died in 1970. Survivors are a daughter, Mrs. Harriett Van Slyke of Sardinia; a brother, Erwin Sweetapple of Holland; three grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. A son, Victor Harrison, died while serving as a pilot in World War II. Funeral services will be held tomorrow at 1 pm in Weismantel Funeral Home, 271 E. Main St., Springville. Burial will be in Sardinia Rural Cemetery.

Friends may call at the Weismantel Funeral Home Inc., 271 E. Main St. , Springville from 2-4 and 7-9 pm where funeral services will be held Saturday afternoon at one o'clock. Expressions of sympathy may be made to the Chaffee-Sardinia Memorial Volunteer Fire Co.
