CLINTONVILLE—Velma G. Eakin 59, of Kennerdell Rd, wife of Robert L. Eakin, died at 8:32 a.m. Tuesday June 8, in the Grove City Hospital following a short illness. She was born June 17, 1911 n Bullion, Venango County, the daughter of Leo Ray and Christian French Sweetapple. On August 27, 1932, she was married to Robert L. Eakin at East Unity Presbyterian Church, where she sang in the choir and taught the youth Sunday School class. In addition to her husband she is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Harold (Dona) Reed Of Franklin RD 1, three brothers, Sherman Sweetapple of Kennerdell Rd; Dean of Youngstown, Ohio; and Wilbur Sweetapple of Kennerdell ,three grandchildren. One brother preceded her in death. Interment will be in Clintonville Methodist Cemetery. - The Oil City Derrick, Wed. June 9, 1971
