      George W. Babcock June 2, 1942 LeGrand St., Holly, Oakland Co., Michigan Lakeside Cemetery, Holly, Oakland Co., Michigan Funeral Director: BENDLE FUNERAL HOME He was the son of George W. and Kate Caswell Babcock. He was born in Troy, Michigan on April 18, 1865. Mr. Babcock spent a large portion of his younger years in Holly. He was an expert photographer and ran a gallery in Holly, later engaging in the same business in Pontiac, Michigan and still later at Glen Falls, N.Y. He was a member of the Baptist church, and the pastor, Rev. F. A. Burnett will conduct the funeral services. Surviving are the widow, Mrs. Mattie E. (Hurst) Babcock and one sister, Mrs. Carrie (Babcock) Jarrad. This was taken from his obituary dated June 4, 1942. It was cut out of the newspaper so I can't say what paper it was from. psvanderlist@sirus.com
